Frac Sand

Conditioning baghouse dust to meet tightening regulations.

HORIZONTAL SINGLE SHAFT MIXER OPERATES 24/7.

Drying is an important step in producing high quality sand for the frac sand industry. But producers face tightening regulations around silica dust control. DustMASTER systems help companies process baghouse dust collected from the sand drying process into a low-moisture, dust-free material for safe loading and transportation back to the facility’s mine.

In a typical installation, DustMASTER specifies a batch horizontal shaft paddle mixer in combination with a material surge hopper mounted above. The surge hopper is continually filled from the plant’s baghouse screw conveyor for 24/7 operation. A series of probes in the surge hopper allows for complete automated operation without an operator. PLC-based control provides total system flexibility for adjusting mixing times and water-to-dust ratios. The conditioned dust discharges into a bunker area or truck located below the mixer.

From a complete load-out system to a mixer retrofit, DustMASTER offers a solution for your company. To learn more about how DustMASTER managed baghouse dust, please see the chart below or contact us directly.
