Whether a company is manufacturing a slurry as its end product, forming a slurry for material transportation, or reusing and recombining components of a slurry, mixing plays a critical role in the process. DustMASTER offers a versatile twin shaft mixing system that can produce a slurry from multiple materials and water.
In operation, added materials are batched into the mixer from multiple storage silos via screw conveyors and weigh batchers located above the twin shaft mixer. The mixer’s aggressive dual shafts with cast Ni-Hard paddles and scrapers quickly blend the materials into a pumpable slurry consistency. A hydraulically operated discharge door runs along the entire length of the tank bottom for a 30-second discharge time. The mixing system is completely automated and integrated into the plant’s distributed control system (DCS) for seamless operation.
